Sunday Advent III

Gaudete Sunday bursts with joy in the midst of penitence. The rose vestments and jubilant Introit proclaim that the Lord is close at hand. Yet this joy is not sentimental but rooted in grace—freedom, healing, and divine nearness. John the Baptist testifies to Christ, teaching us humility and steadfastness. We rejoice because God Himself is approaching to rescue, sanctify, and dwell among His people.
