Chicago Monsignor Jerome has returned and asks your ongoing prayers for the new Franciscan priests, Father James and Father Thomas he ordained and Bishop Nioclas whom he consecrated during his visit. Please also remember Archbishops David and Charles who assisted with the episcopal consecration.

Hub Drop-in as usual this Wednesday from 0830-1300 volunteers always welcome to serve and greet our homeless guests. With the cold weather now upon us, donations of warm clothes, thermal socks and underwear, scarves and gloves etc are desperately needed.

Tackling Social Isolation is the theme of the Brighton & Hove Faith Council’s session this coming Thursday, November 1st from 11am at St Patrick’s, Cambridge Road, Hove. Presentations from local ministries like “Time to talk befriending” and others will frame a discussion on what and how faith communities can address or partner in tackling social isolation within our community.

All Souls Day Chantry as usual three Masses will be offered on Friday, November 2nd from 8am, the third Mass being offered at 0930 when the Chantry list will be read in full as usual. If you would like to add names for this annual remembrance and inclusion in the Chantry book, please email the Parish Office.

Nursing Home Ministry if you would like to share worship with residents, there are two dates on Sunday’s this month, both in Worthing, November 4th and November 18th 1100-1200, leaving directly after the 0830 Mass. The service lasts about an hour and residents really appreciate meeting new people, help finding the hymns and somebody to pray with.

Remembrance Sunday the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I, Sunday, November 11th Mass as usual at 0830 then an Act of Remembrance will take place at the Old Steine War Memorial from 11am (arrive by 1055). The Salvation Army Band will be accompanying the service led by the Archdeacon of Brighton with other faith leaders including the Bishop of Chichester and the Archbishop of Selsey.

REVIVAL Holiness from Advent Sunday, December 2nd our new programme and mission of Christian renewal and revival for the city will begin. The Chapel will be open Monday to Friday 0700-0900 and 1700-1900 for quiet prayer, to enable people to and from work to spend time with God. On Wednesdays, 1800 Holy Hour with Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament followed by a Conference discussing Christian discipleship.

Christingle Service, 4pm Sunday, December 16th this year marking the 50th anniversary since the Children’s Society held the first Christingle service in this country. Please invite as many children as you know!
